Escherichia coli CAL516, informally known as E. Coli Calgarius, is a strain of the bacterium Escherichia coli that is commonly found in Calgary, Alberta. It is usually detected by the high concentration of awesome, measured at levels up to 49.9 ppm in a CAL516 colony.[1] Due to this property, a body of mythology has been created about confirmed and unconfirmed properties of E. Coli Calgarius. Much of the folklore that surrounds actor Chuck Norris, such as his ability to divide by zero, has reportedly originated with observations of CAL516 [citation needed]
