Preparing overnight cultures
  • Pippette 10mL LB into a red-capped culture tube or conical shake flask.
  • Using an autoclaved toothpick, take a scraping of the frozen glycerol stock and drop it into the tube/flask. (Alternatively a pipette tip can be used and discarded after transferring the cells to the LB.)
