To test the different promoters for the project, we decided on using the plasmid pSB1A2 [[1]] which has a RFP (red fluorescent protein) reporter. The first promoter we will test is the iron promoter from the registry [[2]].
The tentative schedule is that we will transform E. coli cells with the plasmids that we want to amplify Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.
