Project Details

Our project consists of the following parts:

1) DNA isolation from E.coli DH5α strain for amplifying glgA (glycogen synthase) and kanamycin gene in order to construct the plasmid.

2) Double mutant (glgA and glgB gene) construction.

3) Transformation of starch enzymes (SS and SBE) to double mutant E.coli strain.

4) Purification and characterization of recombinant starch.

5) Mathematical and computational modeling of starch biochemical pathway.
