Dear visitor,

Welcome to the LCG-UNAM-Mexico wiki for the 2008 iGEM! This is our first time participating and we are excited to be a part of this amazing competition. Our goal is to give 110% and have a lot of fun. We hope our contribution is useful for further years. All of our members come from the Undergraduate Program in Genomic Sciences of the UNAM (Autonomous National University of Mexico) and we are located in the Center for Genomic Sciences in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico.

About UNAM
With Centers all around the country, and its biggest campus on Mexico City, the UNAM is the largest public University in Mexico. http://www.unam.mx/EN/

Cuernavaca
Cuernavaca is a municipality located near Mexico City. It is called the city of “Eternal Spring” because it has a warm and nice climate throughout the year with rains from June to October. It is within the Morelos state and its population is about 350,000 people.

Our Undergraduate Program
The Undergraduate Program on Genomic Sciences is located at the Center for Genomic Sciences, which is in charge jointly with the Institute of Biotechnology and has the direct collaboration of other Research Institutes and Centers of the University (School of Medicine, Institute of Biomedical Research, Institute of Cellular Physiology, Institute of Mathematics and the Center of Physical Sciences). http://www.lcg.unam.mx/
