I'm the guy in the middle that everyone's trying to get a piece of; throwing up my peace [gang] sign.
I enjoy Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology because of the vast depth of innovative methods being developed and researched daily. I hope to cure cancer one day; I know it's that's a crazy thing to say, but crazy gets things invented!
I am currently a sophomore at UC Davis, majoring in none-other-than-my-favorite-subject Biotechnology. This iGEM 2008, I hope UCSF gets the Silver Brick. I know iGEM isn't about who wins, but that brick does look very shiny!
This is my second year in UCSF's iGEM. Last year, iGEM 2007, Andrew was my buddy and he, as well as the LIM Lab, taught me more than I could ever learn in school. Even now, I am still relearning a lot of the concepts I've picked up at the lab. This year, I went more on a solo front and learned how to manage my own timeline, quite challenging, but very rewarding in the end! it'll all pay off for that one photo with the silver brick!
