The first contact I had with iGEM was a speech of Randy Rettberg at our school in november 2007. During our work we made a lot of experiences and I think the most important ones for me are:
- to do paperwork in the beginning of a project is very important
- working in a group requires much more than I thought until now
- sometimes it is difficult to stay motivated and at points like this it is good to have someone who offers support
- self-organisation and self-dependency
- it is necessary to expect errors and to calculate time to make them
- that is not really new: money is always very important
