My name is Dave, and I'm one of the two iGEM veterans on the University of Calgary team this year (you may remember our poster last year as the one with the weird-looking machine running in front).  I've just graduated from the same program everyone else in our wetware team is in, the bachelor of Health Sciences, and have now started a Master's project here in Calgary.  I'm excited to be going back to Boston for the Jamboree, as it was a lot of fun last year.

Hypothetically speaking, if I was not in the lab, and it happened to be cold outside, I would likely be snowboarding somewhere on one of Alberta/BC's incredible resorts.  If I wasn't there, perhaps I'd be playing bass somewhere, or maybe, just maybe, be traveling around on some distant continent living out of a backpack.  Who knows.  But all of that of course requires that I be not in the lab, and really, what are the odds of that?

Welcome to my page!
