lab work (SD):

            Since the double-plasmid cell cultures failed to grow on the LB+amp50+kan35 plates we will try to 
            grow them on LB+kan35.  Each of the plasmids is also transformed alone into XL1-B cells and plated 
            on kan35 plates as well.
