FimE Inversion Assay


  1. Grow 5mL LB cultures with appropriate antibiotics overnight.
  2. Backdilute culture 1:100 into fresh 5mL LB with appropriate antibiotics.
  3. When the cultures reach 0.4 OD at 600nm, add arabinose and grow at 37C for 1 hour.
  4. Wash and resuspend cells in phosphate buffer solution.
  5. Measure GFP fluorescence on plate reader.
