- Chris and James grew up competent E. coli XL1-Blue cells for use in cloning Biobricks and assembling constructs.
- B.subtilis strain 168 and E.coil DH5α containing plasmids pDR110 and pDR111 picked up from Dr. Gründling
Debrief
- Laboratory induction tomorrow at 11am.
- Wiki coming along but needs to be cut down in size. Tom will do this tomorrow and on the weekend.
- Parts were all sent off; now that constructs ordered are finalised, we can use these and the test constructs to work out our critical pathway for cloning. Tom and Chris will make a cloning strategy tomorrow after the lab induction.
- Dry lab team continues through tutorials...
- Microscope training organised. Associated parties will need to fill out forms and training should take about an hour (2 on 1).
