Project Objection

Living things, environment and chemical samples are exposed to an input like as UV or radiation, which is "volatile" but whose effects to them accumulate in our body, environment and samples. We would like to know the total strength of exposure to the input, not only its existence.
To do this, we construct two populations. E.coli A synthesizes less-metabolic and stable molecules linearly to the strength of the input. The information of the total amount of the strength of the past input won't be deleted due to less-metabolicity and stability of these molecules. And they play a role as cell-cell communication signals. E.coli B senses the concentration of the signals and report how much strength have exposed to them. In this way, we can measure the total strength of exposure to UV, radiation, environmental pollutants and various kinds of substances as well just by changing the input sensor of E.coli A.
