UCSF/David Pincus
From 2008.igem.org
My name is David Pincus, and I am a buddy on the 2008 UCSF iGEM team. I'm also a 3rd year graduate student in the Tetrad program at UCSF, where I am co-advised by Peter Walter and Hana El-Samad. My thesis project involves quantitative single cell studies of the Unfolded Protein Response (UPR). I live in San Francisco, and have been in the bay area since 2000, when I started my undergraduate at UC Berkeley. I graduated in 2004 with a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology. Following undergrad, I worked as a technician for 2 years at the Molecular Sciences Institute. During this time, I met Drew Endy and first heard about iGEM. And the rest, as they say, is history.
