Team Sorbitol: Planned to clone out srlD as well as the srl operon from E. coli MG1655 (K12 parent strain). srlD codes for the sorbitol-6-phosphate dehydrogenase srl operon contains srlD as well as three other genes that code for subunits of the sorbitol membrane transport protein. These genes will be cloned into a variety of plasmids as needed. |
