Ran miniprep of our pVJ4 plasmid (plate 28 from Harvard) to isolate DNA for sequencing

  • Designed and ordered primers to send out with DNA (primer design in Kate’s nb)
  • primers were designed based off of sequence on NCBI of the SRRz cassette (published by Dr. Ry Young)

When we get primers, we’ll run PCR of our DNA to make sure our fragment is correct (greater than 1000 base pairs) and then send out everything for sequencing.
