Increase of the initial population density enhances system resistance to antibiotics.
In our basic design, the EG cells can express ampicillin resistant protein constantly and kanamycin resistant protein by sensing the AHL which is given by the ER cells. And meanwhile the ER cell can express kanamycin resistant protein constantly and ampicillin resistant protein by sensing the BHL which is given by the EG cells.

By changing the inoculation concentration higher, the two different kinds of cells can help each other grew better. As shown in the graphs the final population of both of the two kinds of cells became higher and higher in the high antibiotics environment.

The initial concentration of ampicillin and kanamycin in the culture determined the least inoculating population of the EG and ER cells.

We did some comparisons under different condition to show the effect of mutualism.
The result shows that with the help of each other both of them can survive in some region either of them can not live alone.
