Remko van den Hurk is currently in the second year of his Masters program in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He his B. Sc. in Engineering Physics and B. Sc. in Biochemistry at the University of Saskatchewan in 2007. His fascination with designing organisms, and interest in applying engineering design concepts and standardization to genetic manipulation of organisms led him to join the 2008 NINT iGEM team.
