*Team Resistance constructed an electrical circuit to take quick resistance measurements across our bacterial solution.  The lysis gene cassette degrades the bacteria cell wall and transforms the solution from cloudy to translucent.  In order to see a detectable resistance change, the amount of ions released from the cell must be large enough in comparison to the extra-cellular solution.  The team addressed this problem by resuspending cells in Milli-Q Water, M9 Minimal Media, and Milli-Q Water with very low concentrations of salt to prevent significant osmotic gradients.

Additional considerations included changing from a Direct Current to an Alternating Current, incorporating a low-pass filter, amplifier.
